Exposure metering

Lighting will be normal, white, only after the sun will have risen 30 degrees over the skyline. “Day light” films are designed for such light. There are special «tangsten» films produced for shooting indoors and in conditions of «red light» lighting of incandescent lamp. If you shoot on a day light film in the theatre, you’ll get a picture in red colours, and if you photograph your friends on a «tangsten» film in day time, you’ll get a picture in sepulchral deep-blue colours

    2. Musical Cats. Red colours of the picture are determined with the colour temperature of the light source - incandescent lamps cause such colour in a day light film..
Thus, fully automatic “brains” even of a rather expensive camera guarantee pictures of high quality only provided that the camera is operated by an owner who is ready to attach his human ability and analyse the object of shooting. For example, not to photograph a girl against the sky background or a portrait of a bride in white dressing against the white wall background. It’s sensible to resist the temptation to make a photo of Alla Pugachova on the stage or a moment of a football match late at night. It’s not worthy to shoot at museum halls. The on-board flashbulb won’t help you. You must put up with the fact that when buying an automatic camera you pay only for ability to shoot middle-grey photos. If you get a desire to “correct” the automatic device and still photograph your girl on the White House background, you’ll have to buy another, not so expensive “clever” camera which allows making corrections in exposure meter work, and spend some time on photography studies.
